Public Meeting – re Turkey Oak Friday 26th July 7.15pm Old Dalby Village Hall

Broughton and Old Dalby Parish Council are now in receipt of a second Arboricultural survey of the Turkey Oak.

As a result the parish council would like to invite all residents within the parish to attend a public meeting to discuss results of the two surveys, and subsequent actions which now have to be taken.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER:- HECADECK LANE, NETHER BROUGHTON

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

A temporary road closure is required on Hecadeck Lane on 26th July 2019 for 1 day.

The road will be closed between Middle Lane and Nottingham Road.

The Turkey Oak on The Green, Old Dalby

Following concerns raised by Leicestershire County Council's Highway Tree Inspector the Parish Council recently commissioned a detailed report on the Turkey Oak tree growing on The Green at the junction of Main Road and Chapel Lane, Old Dalby.

Unfortunately, due to a long-standing fungal colonisation the structural condition of the tree has been found to be poor.
