Dog Waste

Once again the PC has been alerted to the ongoing problem of dog waste left on pavements and the green areas of the parish. Dog fouling is the most offensive type of litter on our streets. It is anti-social, unhygienic and is proven to be a health hazard. The faeces of a dog can transmit diseases to other animals and to humans, especially young children.

In recent weeks groups have met to discuss the three Community Actions which residents indicated were most important to them, namely:

-Traffic Management and Pedestrian Safety

-Footpaths and Bridleway Maintenance

-Support for Older People

Melton’s new waste contract comes into effect with enhanced recycling service

On October 1st 2018 Biffa commenced their new waste contract with Melton Borough Council.

Severn Trent Work on Six Hills Lane

Severn Trent Work on Six Hills Lane

Work to replace old water mains will be taking place in land of Six Hills Lane close to Wartnaby very soon.

The work will start w/c 1 October at the small reservoir and will take around 6 months to complete. The majority of the work will take place in private land, but there are several road crossings where we will need to use traffic lights.
